During his three-day visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a major roundtable meeting with top American technology CEOs in New York. The meeting took place at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel and was organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering. The focus was on boosting innovation, strengthening partnerships, and discussing India's rapidly growing tech industry.
The roundtable included CEOs from major companies like Google, Nvidia, and Adobe, with discussions covering topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology. PM Modi emphasized India’s commitment to using AI ethically through its "AI for All" initiative and encouraged the leaders to invest in India’s fast-growing startup ecosystem.
PM Modi also reassured the tech leaders that India is dedicated to protecting intellectual property and fostering innovation. He highlighted India’s potential to become the third-largest economy globally and invited the CEOs to take advantage of this growth.
The meeting was chaired by MIT Professor Anantha Chandrakasan, who thanked PM Modi and the CEOs for their contributions. He emphasized MIT’s dedication to using technology for the global good and fostering collaboration between the U.S. and India.
