The Lamborghini Urus employs a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers 650hp of maximum power and 850Nm of peak torque.

Lamborghini has completed the deliveries of 100 units of the Urus in India since the super-luxury SUV's launch here. The maiden Lamborghini Urus was delivered to its customer in India in September 2018.

Under the hood of the Lamborghini Urus is a new 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers 650hp of maximum power and 850Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 3.6 seconds and 0 to 200kmph in 12.8 seconds. Lamborghini claims that the Urus can reach a top speed of 305kmph and is the fastest SUV available. The deceleration from 100kmph to 0 can be achieved in merely 33.7 metres.

The Lamborghini Urus gets as many as six driving modes -- Strada, Sport, Corsa, Neve (snow), Terra (off-road) and Sabbia (sand). The driver can select his/her preferred mode via the Tamburo driving mode selector, which is located on the centre console.

"The Urus has created a unique position for itself in the super-luxury car segment in India, not just by creating a completely new category but, more importantly, growing the entire segment. In India, Urus has proven to be a game-changer for Lamborghini and currently contributes to over 50 per cent of the brand volumes in India," Lamborghini India Head Sharad Agarwal said.

"While it (Lamborghini Urus) offers the versatility of an SUV, it offers the driving dynamics and emotions of a super sports car. It has also, remarkably, helped penetrate into the tier 1 and 2 cities, gaining significant popularity among our group of clients," he added.
