The Jaguar I-Pace won three titles -- World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year and World Green Car of the Year -- at the 2019 World Car Awards.

 

Jaguar Land Rover will launch its maiden all-electric performance SUV, the I-Pace, in India on March 9, 2021. While the bookings for the Jaguar I-Pace commenced in India in November 2020, its first unit entered the country for extensive testing and validation in January 2021.

The Jaguar I-Pace is claimed to have won over 80 global awards since its debut. At the 2019 World Car Awards, it won three titles -- World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year and World Green Car of the Year -- becoming the first vehicle ever to win in three categories at the same event.

Powering the Jaguar I-Pace is a 90kWh lithium-ion battery. There are two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, one on each axle, with both of them combining to produce 400PS of maximum power and 696Nm of useable instant torque. The all-electric performance SUV boasts of an all-wheel-drive system and can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 4.8 seconds.

The Jaguar I-Pace electric SUV features LED headlights with LED DRLs, LED taillights, 19-inch 5-split-spoke alloy wheels, deployable door handles and a panoramic sunroof. The charging port is located on the front left fender. The cabin of the vehicle boasts of Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster, head-up display and automatic climate control, among a host of other luxury features.

Jaguar Land Rover will be offering the I-Pace in S, SE and HSE grades in India. The customers will get a free-of-cost 7.4kW AC wall-mounted charger with the all-electric performance SUV. They will also get a complimentary 5-year service package and Jaguar roadside assistance.
