"The world is passing through extremely testing and unprecedented times.Let's do our bit to help @SAfridiOfficial @SAFoundationN doing gr8 work plz join hands with them nd contribute what ever u can," India spinner Harbhajan had said.
Afridi even thanked Yuvi and Harbhajan Singh, saying that the two Indian cricketers have always been his 'huge pillars of support' and that their bond shows how 'love and peace' can 'transgress borders' during the time of crisis.

"Thank you for all you support-both yourself & my brother @harbhajan_singh are huge pillars of support; this bond we have shows love & peace transgresses borders when it comes to humanity especially. Best wishes to you with your noble endeavours with @YOUWECAN," Shahid Afridi wrote on social media.

The two Indian cricketers however, faced backlash on social media from a section of fans for helping the former Pakistan cricketer's foundation.

Yuvraj on Wednesday took to social media to slam the haters and said that he will always bleed blue but will also stand for humanity.

"I really don't understand how a message to help the most vulnerable gets blown out of proportion! All I tried to achieve via that message was to help people in our respective countries by providing healthcare, my intention was not to hurt anyone's feelings. I'm an Indian and will always bleed blue and will always stand for humanity. Jai Hind," Yuvraj wrote.
