Bihar schools are reopening for classes 6 to 8 from February 8 onwards.

The Bihar government announced on Friday that Bihar schools are reopening for classes 6 to 8 from February 8 onwards. Schools in Bihar have been closed for around 10 months, since March 2020 when the Covid-19 lockdown was announced across India to curb the spread of the pandemic.

Classes for 9 to 12 along with colleges had resumed in Bihar from January 4.

Bihar school reopening SOP

The state government has issued safety guidelines to make sure students and teachers are safe when Bihar schools reopen.

Schools need to strictly follow the Covid-19 safety protocols and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for reopening schools in India.

Students and teachers need to mandatorily make sure that they are wearing face masks and maintaining an appropriate distance from each other.
