Jeep India announced the 2021 Jeep Wrangler will be locally assembled at its Ranjangaon plant and will grace Indian roads from March 15, 2021.

Last month, Jeep India launched the 2021 Jeep Compass in the country, a locally manufactured product from the company’s Ranjangaon plant, near Pune. Now, the company has announced that the 2021 Jeep Wrangler will also be locally assembled at its plant and will grace Indian roads from March 15, 2021. At present, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler costs Rs 63.94 lakh for the Wrangler Unlimited variant and Rs 68.94 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India) for the Wrangler Rubicon variant. As a completely knocked down (CKD), expect the 2021 Jeep Wrangler to drop its prices significantly.

Mechanically, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler retains the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that develops 268bhp and 400Nm of peak torque, mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission. It gets Jeep’s Selec-Trac Full Time 4WD system that will also feature a new 4WD auto along with the high and low modes. This system will work along with the sensors that measure traction slip.

Inside, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler comes with a redesigned cabin with an updated dashboard that houses the Uconnect 4C NAV 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Jeep will also equip the 2021 Jeep Wrangler with keyless entry, push-button start. The 5-seater cabin layout features premium leather upholstery and contrasts white stitching.
